The Mason Cognitive Assessment Program (CAP) offers one-on-one, professionally supervised cognitive/IQ evaluations. While these assessments are frequently used for private school admissions and Advanced Academic Program (AAP) or other advanced programming applications, they also provide parents with a comprehensive view of their child’s intellectual profile.

Primary Assessments

The Wechsler Intelligence Scale for Children (WISC-V) is our most commonly administered individual test. However, we offer several specialized scales to ensure the most accurate assessment for your child's age and needs:

  • WISC-V: For children and adolescents ages 6 through 16.
  • WPPSI-IV: (Wechsler Preschool & Primary Scale of Intelligence) Optimized for younger children (ages 2:6 through 7:7).
  • DAS-II-NU: (Differential Ability Scales) A versatile battery used to assess specific cognitive strengths and weaknesses. This is offered when a student has had a WISC-V in the last 12 months.

Program Highlights

  • Professional Oversight: Every assessment is administered by a highly trained Graduate Student in School Psychology and supervised by a Licensed Psychologist.
  • Year-Round Availability: We test six days a week during the academic year. (Summer hours are slightly more limited).
  • Comprehensive Results: Your fee includes a virtual feedback session with our team and a secure electronic report delivered within 2 to 4 weeks.
  • Fee: $425 (Waivers available for families who qualify for Medicaid or the Free/Reduced Lunch program).
