College of Education and Human Development - George Mason University

Please request services by completing our Request for Services form. Once that is received, our office staff will email you a screening questionnaire to gather more information about your needs. Once the screening questionnaire is submitted, the office staff will contact you within a few days regarding your case and give you the estimated wait time for an evaluation.

Our services are provided by School Psychology graduate students, under the supervision of professionals licensed in their field. Therefore, information about your case is reviewed by a supervisor.

There may be individuals whose circumstances require a level of care that cannot be provided by a training clinic. A pre-screening is required before you are placed on our waiting list. If we determine we cannot meet your needs at our clinic, we will offer you a referral.

Our services do not provide 24/7 crisis intervention or emergency mental health care. If you are experiencing a mental health emergency, please dial 911 or go to your nearest emergency room. If you are a GMU student in crisis, you can find additional resources through our on-campus Counseling and Psychological Services at https://caps.gmu.edu/.

If you are seeking therapy services, or psychological assessment services for adults, please contact the Center for Community Mental Health (CCMH) at (703) 993-1370 or https://ccmh.gmu.edu/.

Center for Community Mental Health (CCMH) also provides comprehensive psychological assessment services for children and adolescents. These assessments are highly similar to those provided by CAS.
