College of Education and Human Development - George Mason University

The George Mason University School Psychology program is situated within the College of Education and Human Development and is approved by the National Association of School Psychologists (NASP). School Psychology master's students are trained within a multi-disciplinary perspective. They are knowledgeable about child and adolescent development, psychopathology, literacy, learning, assessment, and best intervention practices. Practica are completed in school and clinic-based settings and students are supervised by licensed school and clinical psychologists. Graduate students complete the program in three years, with the third year consisting of a full-time internship. Upon program completion, our graduate students are eligible for school psychology licensure within the state of Virginia as well as national certification through NASP.
